Social upbringing, as one of the fundamental dimensions of human development, has consistently been a focal point for thinkers and social reformers. The family, as the primary educational institution, plays a pivotal role in this process. The present study aims to analyze the role of the family in the social upbringing of children based on the teachings of Imam Sajjad (AS) and to present a model for effective monitoring. This research employed a qualitative approach utilizing conventional content analysis. The scope of the study includes Supplication 25 (concerning children), Supplication 20 (Makarem al-Akhlaq), and Supplication 24 (concerning parents) from Al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya, as well as the Treatise on Rights (Risalat al-Huquq) of Imam Sajjad (AS). The findings were categorized into two main themes: "Foundations and Principles of Social Upbringing" and "Model of Effective Social Monitoring," presented in two separate tables accompanied by detailed analysis. The sub-themes under the first main theme include: faith and piety, cultivating a spirit of opposition to oppression, respect for parents, forgiveness and forbearance, honesty, and justice-seeking. The sub-themes under the second main theme include: monotheism and devotion to God, self-knowledge and self-purification, fairness in relationships, sincere intention and righteous deed, social commitment, optimal use of life, and self-esteem coupled with humility. The results indicate that the teachings of Imam Sajjad (AS) provide a comprehensive framework grounded in human dignity for raising a committed and responsible generation, and their application can lead to the realization of effective social monitoring within the family.
